You make me want to get back into playing GW instead of WoWing. I'll probably go back to split playing.

1. I have no problem with you.
2. I have no problem with the rest of your builds
3. I'm not really that bothered.
The solo trap build has been around for *ages*. All you've done is add on a speed boost and a degen skill by taking out redundant skills. The degen takes care of the Spirit Shepherds. The traps take care of everything else.
If it wasn't for the fact that you're getting blind praise for quite literally nothing i wouldn't give it a second look. I've never used your solo FoW/UW/Deep etc builds, i've not really a big fan of warrior solo farming in high level areas, i never did like the Spider Cave and thats not even a challenge really. But i'm sure you've worked hard on them and i give you credit for them, you deserve the praise.
People are coming in here and congratulating you for using a solo trap build to clear somewhere... taking absolutely ages to do it. If it was something special i wouldn't care... but its not, its an old build with minor modifications thats extremely easy to use. I've made a build to let me clear the FoW forest and Chest Run the rest in 1 go... only ever used it once because it was too slow, all it used was Apply Poison/Distracting Shot to clear it. But it worked. I wouldn't want praise for it because it was nothing. The FoW Forest is possibly 1 of the easiest high leve areas in GW to clear. Hell, i've even done it with a Beastmaster build...

Well, ignoring the flame, just a few words of advice if you don't want to just use Proph skills- I think you could do better by swapping out Dodge for [skill]Natural Stride[/skill] and Serpent's Quickness for [skill]Trapper's Speed[/skill]. You're running with 16 wildy, so duration should be almost the same, slightly less block, but it's 50% to all, not just ranged...and Trapper's Speed reduces recharge by a little more than it says it does ("cast" finishes sooner so you can use another trap sooner).

My suggestions on the first page of Apply Poison n Escape would be better.
Natural Stride ending when you get hexed could potentially get you killed, if you get caught by an SS you lose all evasion and speed boost.

You're (probably) better with a Ranger then I am. But again, it's a challenge for myself that I've trapped those parts of the Fissure of Woe and that's why I posted it. If you think this is a waste of time, don't post in this thread.
Thank you

uhhh lol? anyways, yes i think escape and apply poison would do better to substitute poison arrow and dodge (i like longer running time/evasion stances for survivability) I would have to say that the build is an old one with minor modifications, but then kudos to Witte for articulating how to use a trapping build in FoW, which takes time, practice, a general knowledge of mobs, patrols, and safe spots, and most importantly TIME. I think THAT's what people are praising Witte for Evilsod, not necessarily the build (i hope so?). Anyways it's not like half the rangers out there know the potential of trapping and using it on certain mobs/areas. Heck most people are using evasion tank or burning arrow+apply poison+kite away builds as rangers, if they are farming with rangers at all. Beast master farming is fun (though i still have trouble with having aggro only on my pet) and stoneflesh barrage is cool. Course ele is my favorite so i usually farm with ele =] Great guide Witte, must have taken hours to test and post guide. keep up with those farming builds!

I think that the comments Evilsod made are to the point and i dont belive he is a bit jelous at all. This is a challenge build and does take (too much) time but its for a challenge purpose not a farming one. I dont understand howcome he gets flamed for stating that thing out and the thing when he said that ppl give praise for "old" and a bit moddified builds is acctualy not your fault but the fault of the masses geting all psyched over a build from a great build maker that they dont acctualy stop and think criticaly anmorey...

he got flamed for the fact that he said it was a waste of time and that it wasn't a challenge. Although that's what I flame him for

Witte has put up many great solo builds, some more "original" than others, and more than anything else I commend him for laying them out in a clear, easy to understand, and fun to read manner. Personally, I have learned alot from his guides, and hope he continues putting these guides up. Whether or not he came up with the idea has no bearance on the fact that some players benefit from his guides, and thus they have every right to be here and not be the target of flaming. And I think you would have alot of fun with an Ele, Witte, make one!
